Welcome to the USS Cavalry!
The year is 2394The USS Cavalry, a Sovereign-class starship based in Bravo Fleet’s Task Force 99 is currently lost in the mirror universe under the command of Captain Samuel Wentworth, with no current way of getting home to their own timeline. Her regular mission, whatever is needed by Starfleet, mainly to return to the original mission of “exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilisations, to boldly go where nobody has gone before”. Based in the year 2394, some six years ahead of the main Bravo Fleet timeline, the USS Cavalry is a unique opportunity to undertake a range of missions from simple patrol missions to first contact missions with new worlds, and even trying to maintain the peace between warring sides of the battle.
With the Hobus explosion now some 7 years in the past, the Romulan Empire is slowly rebuilding itself, but also rebuilding its image. The Klingon Empire is always on the lookout for victories, other species want a piece of the action, and the Federation stands ready to keep the peace and to keep the unity going. It’s an ongoing struggle to explore and to keep the peace, that is where ships like the USS Cavalry come into it. Out there, studying new life, watching over and offering their assistance, getting involved only when needed.
What do we offer?
We offer a regular-paced simulation where your posts guide what we do as a crew, as a team. Your posts are what make the mission. There is no “it’s my mission, do it my way” mentality here, there is an idea to the mission, but it is what you write that determines if it succeeds or fails. A website that makes posting easy through the Nova software. We also have our Discord server where players can chat with each other.
We are a crew that prides itself on using our rank as an in-character tool, where we respect each other and work together to do what we all came here for, that is to write and have fun. No matter if we succeed or fail, we do so as a team, as a family. Our missions are part of who we are, and we all get from this simulation what we put into it. The drama we have is only in-character because we respect each other. That is our core ideal and something we strive for every single day. We aren't focused on pumping out 100+ posts every month, we are focussed on having quality and descriptive posts each and every single month.
We might now have the best-looking website going around, but it does the job for us. All of our postings is done right here, and we keep it looking nice and tidy. We are always improving on the website and making changes where needed to keep things updated so you know exactly what is going on. Our command team below are here to keep things operating smoothly around the website and Discord server and are always happy to answer your questions, so check us out on Discord or use the Contact form off to the side of the website.

Effective immediately, the USS Cavalry has been approved for a transfer to Task Force 93. I won't go into the full details about the transfer, but we have been moved to Task Force 93. Over the coming weeks, we will be finishing off the current mission and getting right into the new storyline for Task Force 93, which will be regarding the Free Romulan Movement.
For some reference, here is what Task Force 93 is all about. We will be moving into the main Bravo Fleet timeline as well during this transfer, so it may play around with a few different personal histories, in the long run, we will have some quite interesting time working all of this out.
Task Force 93, also known as “S.E.A.R.C.H.” (Starfleet’s Exploratory and Advanced Research Command Headquarters), is a subordinate unit of Fourth Fleet operating in the Beta Quadrant.
Task Force 93 has served as a peacekeeping force along the Romulan border for the last half-decade. Following the Hobus hypernova of April 2387, it temporarily operated within Romulan space to provide support. In September 2387, the Treaty of Nelvana resealed the Romulan borders introduced the new Raeyan Transit Corridor, a sliver of Federation space between the Romulan and Klingon Empires. Task Force 93 became responsible for maintaining this new corridor, as well as for conducting operations in the Raeyan Sector beyond. In early 2388, Task Force 93 absorbed Task Force 47 as part of a fleet reorganization, subsequently expanding our area of operations to include the Romulan border along the Gavarian Corridor, and, after the Gorn invasion of the Canterra sector in mid-2388, its area of operations was again expanded, this time to include all Federation territory along the Klingon and Gorn borders.

The above announcement from the Bravo Fleet Command Council comes into effect at the beginning of October, and while it won't change much around the fleet and a lot of the announcement doesn't affect everyone, the big part that does affect all simulation is the requirement on activity on simulations. The fleet requirement from October 1 will be that all simulations post at least 4 posts per calendar month, and that will be considered as an active simulation.
For us here, our requirement will be slightly around that as I don't want to just have 4 posts each month and be fine with that, I want to see us improve and make the most out of it and really push ourselves to make posting and our missions move forward at a solid pace every month.
The new requirement for this simulation will be that everyone must submit at least 2 posts per month (so that equates to one every two weeks). Personal Logs will be counted, but only after those two posts are done. I think that one post from everyone every two weeks is reasonable and fair. The two posts a month will extend to any PNPCs that you have currently. I will send out a news item each month (on the 2nd) with sim updates and a post count for everyone. That way you are kept aware of what you are contributing to the simulation. That being said, it will be your responsibility to post and remember when your last post was.
Obviously, if on leave the requirements don't apply but I won't tolerate abuse of the leave system to avoid posting.
I will send out on the Discord channel (and through the mission notes) each week objectives that everyone can be working on. I will put them in in a character perspective, rather than departments as that ensures everyone has something to work on.

Contrary to popular belief, we are still active everyone! The crew has had a meeting and we feel that it is best to keep going, we have unfinished business, we have a mission to complete and it would be unfair to the Task Force for us to give up on this simulation after so many years. For the record, we've been going for well over 6 years now!
We are opening our recruitment up even further, so we will be around more now and you'll see what we are all about. Loads of positions are open for applications. Our mission will be moving forward, even more, the crew have agreed as a group to work together to rebuild the simulation and I have all the hope and desire to keep this simulation going for many more years!
You'll be seeing much more from the Cavalry simulation into the coming months!

I know we have all seen the news about Cambridge Analytica and the massive fallout that it has had across the whole internet, and I am very serious about internet security and privacy. I want to assure every single person on this simulation and every single guest who applies as well as those who have previously been part of this simulation that your information is secure. Under no circumstances is personal details or any information provided in the application process or details from Discord are handed to a third party or any other outside source.
The details you give are kept on this website and on the Bravo Fleet website as well. The Admiralty are working with Anodyne Productions to produce an update to allow for the users to delete their own accounts in order to better comply with the easy opt-out provision of this EU legislation that is coming into effect towards the end of this month, however, I already provide such matters in that any former member may request to have their information fully deleted from the server and such things would happen within 24 hours.

Please join me in welcoming Chief Petty Officer Wes Cullen to the simulation as our newest member of the Engineering team. Now, Wes (better known as Michael) is actually a former member of this very simulation, some 18 months ago, and it is great to welcome a former member back to the Cavalry family!
